Joe Rogan leapt to Tommy Fury's defence in a debate with Dave Portnoy when discussing a potential fight between him and Jake Paul.
Rogan hosted the Barstool Sports founder on his podcast this week and at one stage talk turned to the possibility of Jake facing Tommy.
Portnoy began: "Tommy Fury is not a real boxer, no chance."
Rogan reacted: "Of course he's a real boxer, he's a professional boxer. Is he a world champion? No. Maybe he is, is he?"
Portnoy replied: "No. I saw Tommy Fury box, he is not a boxer."
To which Rogan said: "Well he is definitely a boxer."
Portnoy interjected: "Well he puts on gloves."
And Rogan continued: "He's definitely a boxer, but is he a boxer like his brother? No."
Portnoy responded: "Well clearly. We would not know who Tommy Fury was if his last name wasn't Fury."
Rogan half agreed: "Probably we wouldn't know as much about him, but he's still a good looking guy, he's built great, he looks the part."

Portnoy concurred: "He looks the part, no doubt.
"But let me rephrase this - I think Jake Paul would kill Tommy Fury.
"And that wouldn't change [my opinion of Jake Paul], I don't know how good Jake Paul is."
The pair then watched a compilation video of Tommy's highlights.
Rogan said: "Here's Tommy Fury, you're telling me this guy isn't a real boxer? You're out of your f***ing mind."
Portnoy asked: "Who's he fighting?"
To which Rogan answered: "I don't give a f*** dude. Look at this, he's fighting a professional boxer. The guy he's fighting looks good.
"You're crazy if you don't think Tommy Fury's a professional boxer. Look at that uppercut. Shut the f*** up dude."

As a clip played of Fury's knockout of a journeyman, Rogan said: "I don't give a s***, look at the way he's delivering these combinations, he's 100 per cent a boxer.
